Leila Bekhti is a French-Algerian actress, born in France in 1984.

Her career began in 2005, when her friends convinced her to take part in the casting of the film Sheitan, starring Vincent Cassel.

In 2007, she won her first César Award for her performance in the film Un prophète, which was the film's only female role.

Her career really took off in 2009, when she met Géraldine Nakache, who offered her a starring role in her film Tout ce qui brille. The film went on to sell over 1.3 million tickets.

As for her personal life, Leïla is married to French-Algerian actor Tahar Rahim, whom she met on the set of the film Un prophète. She has always wanted to have a large family, and they indeed have 4 children together.

Leila Bekhti is also involved in a number of causes, including with Unicef to raise awareness about the situation of children in the Gaza Strip.
